Okay, this isn't really a game, not yet anyway. The only place I've come across Wizardopoly is as part of some fan-fiction for a certain well known boy wizard...I envisage players using spells to create and destroy properties on a board, and charging rent to anyone who lands on them. Hey, that could sell!
So anyway, as long as you're here, there are two types of people in the world: those who think that Ticket to Ride is The Beatles' ninth number 1 hit single, and those who think the Ticket to Ride is also a great board game. If you fall into the latter group, I hope you enjoy browsing the store and you can find whatever games you are looking for (if you can't please let us know and we'll try to get it for you). If you haven't heard of the game, welcome to the wonderful world of board gaming!
I'm sure nearly everyone has played one or two board games at some time or another. Popular games that you can buy in W.H. Smith or Woolworths, like Monopoly and Cluedo or more party type games like Taboo or Pictionary. These games have been around for ages and are all well and good, but what the big shops don't seem to want to sell are a relatively new breed of game that have become popular, particularly in continental Europe, over the last few years. These are sometimes called Eurogames, and we've put them into the category Modern Games. What's so good about these games is that they steer clear of being completely luck based, they usually engage every player all the time, and they stay interesting up until the end of the game. Of course none of this matters next to the most important thing: these games are fun!
Have a look at our recommendations page, or check out the Introductory Games category and see if anything takes your fancy.
