A very exciting game. Be the first to collect all of your treasures by shifting the walls of the Labyrinth to create a clear path to get to them. Watch out for traps as the walls constantly move. This mysterious maze game is magic! Contents: playing board, 34 maze cards, 24 treasure cards, 4 playing pieces
Wizardopoly's comments: This really is a good game! It can be played by adults and children alike. In fact my kids often beat me at it! There is a little bit of luck but it's mostly won through careful planning.
At the start of the game the 24 treasure cards are dealt out. Each of these cards has a picture on it which matches a picture on one of the tiles that the board is made up of. Each player has a coloured playing piece which starts the game at one of the four corners of the board. During the game the board shows a maze of corridors made up from 49 tiles (16 of these are fixed, the rest can slide between them), plus there is one extra tile left over. Each player looks at the top most card of those dealt to him/her and on their turn takes the extra tile and slides it into the board, and by doing so shifts a row of tiles along one thus changing the layout of the labyrinth. Do you follow me? Look at the picture of the game and you'll see what I mean - one tile to the left of the front right corner is being pushed into the labyrinth, displacing all the tiles in its row. After they've done this the player may move his/her piece along the corridors in an attempt to get to the treasure shown on their card. Once they get to their treasure they turn over their next card and try to reach that treasure on their next turns. Whoever gets to all their treasure first is the winner.
It's quite common to take several turns to get to your treasure, but there's an immense satifaction in finding a way to your goal by a really circuitous route when at first glance it seems impossible!
